Abstract: A portable coolant blood transport box includes an external box made of ABS plastic and having wall thickness of between 3 mm and 4 mm. A continuous layer of polyurethane (PU) foam lines all inner walls of the ABS shell to form an insulating barrier around the internal cavity, wherein the PU foam layer having thickness of 30 mm to 40 mm. An aluminum cold plate is mounted flush against each of the opposing walls of internal cavity, with one peltier module is centrally bonded to the surface of each cold plate. The cold side of peltier module is attached to aluminum cold plate, and hot side of peltier module is connected to aluminium heatsink via the copper spreading plate. The hot side of each peltier module is cooled by the attached finned-aluminum heatsink, paired with 120 mm axial fan mounted on the exterior of the box. Ziplock packets or individual tubes are positioned in an upright orientation within the external box.
