MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511013015 A) filed by Agsure Innovations Private Limited on February 14, 2025, for Portable Computer Vision-Based System For Detecting Admixture In Rice Grain Samples Using Machine Learning Algorithms.

Inventor includes Abhinav.

The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention provides a novel method and system for detecting admixture in rice grain samples through a portable image-capturing device, which uses image processing and machine learning algorithms. The device captures images of rice grains, analyzes them using computer vision and a proprietary algorithm to determine the percentage of different quality grains present in the sample. This technology enables accurate, quick, and cost-effective assessment of rice grain quality for millers, traders, and other stakeholders in the rice value chain. Compared to existing solutions, the device offers affordability, ease of use, and higher accuracy, significantly reducing the time required for manual testing or laboratory-based assessments.
