MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541014923 A) filed by Temperate Technologies Private on February 21, 2025, for Porous Contact Bodies For Air And Water Facilitating The Evaporative Cooling Process.

Inventors include Abdul Najim; Rishabh Anand; and Vishal Singhal.

The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: A porous contact body in the form of a rigid media pad (1) consists of a plurality of corrugated sheets (11) positioned vertically. A corrugation (111) on a corrugated sheet (11) is positioned at an angle, ?, to the horizontal plane. The sheets are positioned adjacent to one another, with their crests joined using an adhesive, forming channels (21) between them that connect either side of the contact body. The cross-section of the channels (21) has a varying spacing from zero at the joints (113) between the sheets to a maximum of twice the height (H) of the corrugations. The crests of the sheets are joined intermittently in the direction indicated by the arrow (112), creating a plurality of passageways (114) that allow water to flow vertically through the channels and distribute over the surface of the sheets.
