Abstract: The present invention relates to a polymeric nano-gel formulation of essential oils for enhanced wound healing in diabetic conditions. The formulation comprises essential oils such as tea tree oil, lavender oil, and eucalyptus oil incorporated into a biocompatible polymeric matrix. The nano-gel is prepared via nano emulsification followed by gelation, resulting in nanosized droplets with improved stability and controlled release properties. The developed formulation demonstrates significant antimicrobial, anti- inflammatory, and antioxidant activities. In-vitro studies show sustained drug release up to 12 hours, while in-vivo studies using streptozotocin-induced diabetic rat models reveal accelerated wound contraction, enhanced epithelialization, and improved collagen deposition. The nano-gel exhibits superior performance compared to conventional treatments. The invention provides a safe, effective, and natural therapeutic approach for managing chronic diabetic wounds.
