Abstract: Polyherbal Skin Rejuvenating and Wound-Healing Gel with Standardized HPTLC Quality Assessment This invention describes a multifunctional polyherbal topical gel formulated from standardized herbal extracts of Manjistha (Rubia cordifolia), Nagkesar (Mesua ferrea), Vidanga (Embelia ribes), and Yastimadhu (Glycyrrhiza glabra), combined with aloe pulp, vitamin E, and a pharmaceutically acceptable Carbopol-based gel matrix. The formulation provides synergistic anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, moisturizing, skin-rejuvenating, depigmenting, and wound-healing properties suitable for management of minor wounds, abrasions, burns, skin irritation, dryness, and cosmetic skin-care applications. The gel exhibits desirable spreadability, stability, skin adherence, and patient acceptability while enabling sustained topical delivery of bioactive phytoconstituents. The invention further incorporates High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography (HPTLC) fingerprint profiling for authentication, qualitative identification, standardization, and quality assessment of the herbal constituents to ensure batch-to-batch consistency, product reliability, and therapeutic reproducibility suitable for pharmaceutical, dermatological, and cosmeceutical applications.
