Abstract: The present invention relates to a polyherbal hair oil composition comprising medicinal plant materials selected from Amla, Hibiscus, Neem, Fenugreek, Curry leaves, Bhringraj, Brahmi, and Aloe vera, together with Coconut oil, Castor oil, Almond oil, Vitamin E, and Lavender essential oil. The invention relates to a process for preparation of the polyherbal hair oil comprising washing and shade drying the plant materials, pulverizing them to obtain fine powders, mixing the powders with an oil base, heating the mixture at about 60–70°C with continuous stirring, cooling, filtering through muslin cloth and Whatman No. 1 filter paper, and adding vitamin E and lavender essential oil to obtain the final formulation. The hair oil exhibited a dark greenish-brown colour, pleasant herbal aroma, smooth texture, homogeneous appearance, and acceptable physicochemical stability with pH 5.5–6.5. The composition remains stable without noticeable changes in colour, odour, pH, viscosity, clarity, sedimentation, or phase separation during storage. Topical application of the composition did not produce erythema, oedema, itching, burning sensation, or allergic reactions following observation at 24 and 48 hours. Hair growth evaluation demonstrated earlier initiation of hair growth, greater follicular density, and improved hair thickness in the treated group. The composition is useful for promoting hair growth, reducing hair fall, controlling dandruff, nourishing the scalp, and improving overall hair health.
