The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a polyherbal bimetallic nanoparticle-loaded hydrogel composition for topical wound management and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises extracts of Prosopis cineraria and Tragia involucrata, a silver- and zinc-containing bimetallic nanoparticle system, at least one pharmaceutically acceptable hydrogel-forming polymer and an aqueous vehicle. At least a portion of phytoconstituents from the selected plants may participate in reduction, nucleation, capping and/or stabilization of the silver-zinc nanostructures during green synthesis, thereby providing plant-associated bimetallic nanoparticles. The nanoparticle dispersion is conditioned and incorporated into a pre-hydrated hydrogel together with the botanical extracts to obtain a substantially homogeneous topical composition. The hydrogel provides a hydrated, conformable matrix for localized retention and progressive availability of the incorporated phytochemical and metal-containing components. The invention further encompasses controlled preparation, characterization and wound-contact product embodiments of the composition. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2].
