Abstract: The invention relates to a pluviometric method for estimating a volume of liquid water precipitating above a geographical position, said method being implemented by a GNSS signal-receiving and processing device comprising: an antenna able to pick up GNSS signals and positioned at the geographical position; and a computing unit able to receive and process the GNSS signals picked up by the antenna; the method comprising the following steps: a step of receiving at least one GNSS signal, referred to as a received signal, the spectrum of which is composed of at least two distinct frequencies; a step of determining a total delay at the zenith of the received signal at the geographical position; a step of determining a volume of liquid water precipitating above the geographical position from only the total delay at the zenith.
