Abstract: The present invention a plenum-based perforated aeroplate system enables surface-independent lift and guided motion for industrial material handling without wheels or tracks. A rigid hollow body defines an enclosed plenum chamber receiving pressurized air through an inlet port coupled to a compressor/blower source. A lower surface includes a distributed array of micro-orifices that discharge airflow jets to generate lift by reaction force. The micro-orifices are organized into independently controllable zones regulated by electronically actuated valves and/or flow controllers. Differential zonal airflow produces thrust vectors and torque moments to achieve stable hover, forward/reverse translation, lateral translation, rotational/yaw motion, and fine positional adjustments. A sensor-feedback architecture including pressure sensors, flow meters, load sensors and an inertial measurement unit provides real-time operating data to an embedded controller that executes closed-loop control to dynamically adjust zonal airflow for stability and trajectory control. The system reduces friction-induced losses and mechanical wear, improves maneuverability and positioning accuracy, and is suitable for automated logistics, cleanrooms, and scalable industrial transport.
