Abstract: The current invention is a compact mini plastic shredder system which is designed for efficient plastic waste management and recycling. The system comprises of a motor-driven single-shaft mechanism for shredding, rotary blades, fixed blades, and spacer blades arranged in such a way to achieve effective shearing of plastic waste such as PET bottles. The shredding mechanism works through a rotary shearing action powered by a low-power induction motor and is coupled with a belt-pulley transmission system. As the shaft is manufactured from high-strength EN24 steel, effective torque transmission and mechanical durability is ensured. This configuration reduces clogging, increases cutting efficiency, and gives uniform fragments from materials such as PET bottles. The system is suitable for decentralized plastic waste processing in institutions, NGOs, and small recycling units due to its compact design. Using a low-power induction motor and with an optimized torque the shredder produces uniformly shredded plastic suitable for recycling and sustainable infrastructure applications. The invention offers an energy-efficient and cost-effective solution for processing decentralized plastic waste and supports circular economy initiatives.
