Abstract: A plastic recycling and acoustic panel manufacturing system, comprises a housing 101 having a waste input hopper 102 to receive mixed household plastic waste, a feeding chamber 103 to at least partially condition or size-reduce the received plastic waste, a heating chamber 105 to raise the plastic waste to a softened state prior to transfer into a mold cavity 107, a compression assembly to apply controlled pressure to the heated plastic waste within the mold cavity 107, an interchangeable mold assembly to shape compressed plastic waste into an acoustic panel, a cooling assembly 112 to extract heat from the molded acoustic panel, at least one tactile sensor to detect hardness of the molded panel, and a set of actuator driven ejectors 113 to displace the molded acoustic panel from the mold cavity 107 after cooling and transfer the panel onto a tray 114 via a pair of articulated arms 115.
