Abstract: The present invention relates to a plastic clip for fastening flexible components such as sheets, carpets, fabrics, or bellow covers to metal plates in automotive vehicles. The clip comprises a head portion having a hexagonal outer profile, a central shank extending from the head portion, and a plurality of resilient primary locking fins provided on the shank. The primary locking fins are configured to elastically deform during insertion through aligned apertures of the metal plate and flexible component and to expand thereafter to provide a primary locking action. A secondary locking portion is formed on an underside of the head portion and includes an underside locking lip adapted to clamp the flexible component against the metal plate. The combination of the primary and secondary locking features provides a dual locking mechanism that resists loosening under vibration and dynamic loads encountered during vehicle operation. The invention ensures enhanced retention strength, improved vibration resistance, and a rattle-free assembly while accommodating varying combined material thicknesses.
