Abstract: Plasmon-Enhanced Solar Cell Using Graphene Quantum Dots, Silver and Titanium Dioxide Nanocomposite Abstract The present invention relates to the development of a plasmon-enhanced photovoltaic solar cell incorporating graphene quantum dots (GQDs), silver (Ag) nanoparticles and titanium dioxide (Ti02) nanocomposite. The nanocomposite comprises 2-5 wt.% graphene quantum dots, 1-3 wt.% silver nanoparticles and 92-97 wt.% titanium dioxide. The GQDs possess an approximate particle size of 2-10 nm, while the Ag nanoparticles exhibit a particle size of 10- 30 nm. The TiO2 nanostructures provide an effective electron transport pathway and improve interfacial charge collection. The incorporation of silver nanoparticles promotes localized surface plasrnon resonance and enhances optical absorption. The graphene quantum dots facilitate charge transfer and contribute to improved photoresponse. The proposed solar cell is designed to achieve a power conversion efficiency of 20- 23%, an open-circuit voltage of 0.75- 0.90 V and a short-circuit current density of 25-30 mA/cm2. The nanocomposite-based architecture is intended to minimize charge recombination and improve photovoltaic stability. The invention provides a promising nanomaterial-based approach for developing efficient and advanced solar energy conversion devices.
