Abstract: Title: Plant Growth Promoting Bacteria Isolated from the Rhizosphere of Areca Catechu L. Plantation The present invention relates to a method for enhancing plant growth, improving crop productivity, and promoting soil health through the use of Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) as bio fertilizers and biocontrol agents. PGPR strains are isolated from soil samples and applied to plants to promote root growth, increase nutrient uptake, and enhance plant resistance to diseases. These bacteria function through mechanisms such as nitrogen fixation, phosphate solubilisation, auxin production, and antifungal activity. Additionally, PGPRs exhibit bioremediation potential by degrading heavy metals and pesticides in contaminated soils. The PGPR strains also demonstrate tolerance to environmental stresses like drought, heat, and salinity, making them ideal for climate-resilient agriculture.
