Abstract: The present invention relates to a multifunctional piperine-derived heterocyclic compound useful in medicinal chemistry, photophysical analysis, and forensic science. The invention provides a novel compound, namely (2E,4E)-5-(benzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5- yl)-N-(3-iodo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-yl)penta-2,4-dienamide, prepared by hydrolysis of piperine to piperic acid followed by amide coupling with 3-iodo-1H-pyrazolo[3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-amine. The compound comprises a conjugated piperic acid backbone linked to an iodinated pyrazolopyrimidine moiety and exhibits ultraviolet absorption and fluorescence emission properties. The compound is capable of visualizing latent fingerprint residues under ultraviolet illumination and demonstrates favorable molecular interactions with biologically relevant protein targets. The invention provides a single molecular framework integrating fluorescence- based forensic utility and medicinal chemistry relevance. Fig. 1
