MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421087954 A) filed by Dr. Bipin Bhaskar Deshpande on November 14, 2024, for Phototherapy Device For Enhanced Wound Healing And Skin Treatment Using Integrated Sensor Technology.
Inventor includes Dr. Bipin Bhaskar Deshpande.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: Abstract Phototherapy Device for Enhanced Wound Healing and Skin Treatment Using Integrated Sensor Technology The present invention provides a phototherapy device (100) and method (200) for wound healing and skin treatment using therapeutic light emitted by a plurality of light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The device (100) integrates a non-contact temperature sensor and an ultrasonic distance sensor to monitor and maintain optimal treatment parameters. An organic light-emitting diode (OLED) display presents real-time temperature and distance data, while a microcontroller processes sensor inputs to dynamically adjust LED intensity and duration for precise dosage control. The system further incorporates Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) communication to log treatment data and interface with a mobile application for real-time monitoring, storage, and analysis. The method (200) comprises positioning the device (100) at an optimal distance, initiating therapy through user-defined settings, continuously regulating irradiance based on feedback, and automatically terminating the session with visual and audible alerts, thereby ensuring safe, effective, and reproducible phototherapy outcomes.
