Abstract: ABSTRACT Photometric-Controlled Dual-Pump U-Tube Viscometer System The dual-pump system for a U-tube viscometer includes a suction pump [101] to draw fluid into the U-tube and a delivery pump [102] to push the fluid, with only one pump operating at a time for precise fluid control. The system may incorporate alternative pump configurations such as double-diaphragm, vacuum, peristaltic, or centrifugal pumps [111]. Control valves [103, 104] prevent cross-operation of the pumps. At least two photometric systems [105, 106] detect fluid levels at specific points within the U-tube, regulating pump operation based on changes in light intensity and absorbance. A timer [107] ensures accurate measurement of fluid flow, triggering the pumps at precise moments. The feedback from photometric systems allows for consistent flow rate and accurate viscosity measurement by adjusting the pumps’ operation. The system also features Wi-Fi connectivity to wireless transmit real-time data to remote devices, enhancing monitoring, analysis, and control. More than two photometric systems may be used for greater accuracy.
