Abstract: Systems and techniques are described for providing phase offset injection. For example, a computing device can obtain a message for transmission to a receiving device and can determine beamforming weights for transmitting toward a direction of the receiving device. A number of beamforming weights of the beamforming weights is equal to a number of transmit array elements of a plurality of transmit array elements and each beamforming weight corresponds to a respective transmit array element of the plurality of transmit array elements. The computing device can apply a phase offset to a beamforming weight (of the beamforming weights) to generate modified beamforming weights. The computing device can output, for transmission by the plurality of transmit array elements, a beamformed transmission including a portion of the message for transmission at a beamforming angle toward the direction of the receiving device, including applying the modified beamforming weights to respective transmit array elements.
