MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621058941 A) filed by Sage University on May 08, 2026, for Personal Safety System And Method For Emergency Detection And Audio Evidence Transmission.
Inventors include Dr. Prashant Jain; Dr. Rekha Ranawat; and Lucky Choudhary.
The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.
Abstract: A personal safety system (100) housed within a keychain enclosure (118) for emergency detection and audio evidence transmission is disclosed. The personal safety system (100) comprises a microphone (102), a tamper detection sensor (104) comprising a conductive loop integrated into a keyring mount of the keychain enclosure (118), a memory (108), and a hardware processor (106). The memory (108) continuously stores an audio signal stream received from the microphone (102) as an overwritten audio record. Upon detection of a break in electrical continuity of the conductive loop, the tamper detection sensor (104) generates a tamper detection signal. The hardware processor (106) extracts a pre-tamper audio segment from the overwritten audio record, stores a post-tamper audio segment from the audio signal stream, and transmits the pre-tamper audio segment and the post-tamper audio segment to a remote server as an audio evidence record.
