The catheter tube and needle can be located in the passage and supported by the passage. The needle hub can be located in the seat and a proximal opening of the needle hub can be aligned with an opening on a rear wall of the seat for receiving a vent plug or a guidewire from a guidewire dispenser, the latter being optional depending on the length of the catheter.
