MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441097621 A) filed by Numeros Motors Private Limited on December 10, 2024, for Peripheral Diagnostic Monitoring System For Vehicle Electrical Components.

Inventors include Vishnu R Nair; Omar Ibrahim Hussain M; and Abdullah Ansari.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT PERIPHERAL DIAGNOSTIC MONITORING SYSTEM FOR VEHICLE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS A peripheral diagnostic monitoring system 100 is disclosed. The system comprises a monitoring system 120, a diagnostic system 130, and a communication interface 140. The monitoring system 120 is configured to assess current and voltage levels of vehicle components such as low beam headlights 8, horn 9, auxiliary lights 10, and throttle control 11. The diagnostic system 130 employs a threshold-based approach to detect fault conditions, including short circuit conditions 21 and open circuit conditions 24, by comparing monitored current 5 against predefined thresholds 22. A counter 23 is incremented upon detection of these conditions, flagging the component as faulty when the counter reaches a specified limit. Additionally, the system is capable of detecting overvoltage and undervoltage conditions, updating a global diagnostic status 15 via the communication interface 140, and providing diagnostic data from a high side driver 17 (HSD8) related to the load status 19 of the vehicle components.
