Abstract: ABSTRACT A perfusion cannula connector assembly (100) includes an insert tube (102) having a plurality of outward-facing circumferential grooves (104) on an outer surface, the insert tube (102) configured for coaxial insertion into a lumen of a blood vessel (106), and a compression assembly (100A) having a plurality of inward- facing circumferential grooves (114) on an inner surface, the compression assembly (100A) configured to receive the blood vessel (106) concentrically around the insert tube (102). The plurality of outward-facing circumferential grooves (104) and the plurality of inward-facing circumferential grooves (114) are complementary in profile and axially aligned across a wall of the blood vessel (106). The compression assembly (100A) applies circumferential compression to engage the blood vessel (106) against the plurality of outward-facing circumferential grooves (104) and the plurality of inward-facing circumferential grooves (114) to form a circumferential seal preventing perfusate leakage and resisting axial displacement of the blood vessel (106).
