The method comprises: receiving, from a second apparatus, an indication indicating whether a specific beam set or a subset of the specific beam set is to be used for a performance monitoring; in accordance with a determination, based on the indication, that the subset of the specific beam set is to be used for the performance monitoring, determining one or more reference signals corresponding to the subset of the specific beam set to be monitored; receiving the one or more reference signals from the second apparatus; and performing a measurement on the one or more reference signals for the performance monitoring.
