Abstract: The present invention relates to a quadruped walking robot designed for stable locomotion and movement over uneven and rugged terrains. The robot comprises a lightweight body frame, four articulated leg assemblies, multiple servomotors, a microcontroller-based control system, sensing modules, and a regulated power supply circuit. The articulated legs are actuated using servo motors controlled through programmed gait algorithms implemented on an Arduino-based microcontroller, enabling synchronized walking, turning, and balance control. The electronic circuitry includes voltage regulation, filtering components, indicator LEDs, switches, and rechargeable battery support for reliable operation. The invention further integrates ultrasonic sensors for obstacle detection and MPU-6050 gyroscope-accelerometer sensors for orientation sensing and stability monitoring. The coordinated operation of the mechanical structure, electronic circuitry, and sensor-based control system enables improved terrain adaptability compared to conventional wheeled robots. The quadruped robot is compact, modular, and cost-effective, making it suitable for educational, research, industrial inspection, surveillance, rescue, and autonomous robotic applications. The invention provides a simplified yet efficient robotic locomotion platform for studying gait coordination, balance management, embedded systems, and robotic control mechanisms in practical and experimental environments.
