The application for the patent was published on October 09, 2026, under issue no. 41/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pegylated polymeric nanoparticle integrated with megestrol 5 acetate and tamoxifen citrate and a preparation method that is configured to improve drug incorporation, solubility, stability, and encapsulation efficiency while providing sustained and controlled release of both therapeutic agents over an extended period. PEG 4000 associated with the nanoparticle surface provides steric stabilization and reduces nonspecific interaction with biological components, thereby supporting prolonged systemic circulation. 10 The nanoscale formulation is further intended to facilitate passive accumulation at tumor sites through the enhanced permeability and retention (EPR) effect. Co-encapsulation of Megestrol Acetate and Tamoxifen Citrate enables simultaneous delivery of the two therapeutic agents and supports their complementary hormonal activity. The controlled-release characteristics are intended to maintain therapeutic drug concentrations for an 15 extended duration, reduce dosing frequency, and potentially minimize systemic exposure and associated toxicity, thereby providing an improved nanoparticle- based approach for anticancer drug delivery.
