Abstract: ABSTRACT PEDIATRIC PALLIATIVE COMFORT AND COMMUNICATION ASSISTIVE DEVICE A pediatric palliative comfort and communication assistive device (100) includes a soft-touch interface panel (102) configured to display child-friendly icons representing symptoms and emotional states, wherein the soft-touch interface panel (102) is responsive to minimal-effort touch inputs. The device includes a plurality of physiological micro-sensors (108) configured to passively monitor physiological indicators including pulse, skin temperature, and galvanic skin response. A comfort ring (110) includes an LED band configured to display color-coded comfort levels based on physiological measurements and user inputs. A voice assist module (112) converts selected icons into spoken phrases for nonverbal communication support. A caregiver alert system (114) transmits notifications to caregivers via wireless connectivity. A soft-shell housing (118) encloses the soft-touch interface panel (102), the physiological micro-sensors (108), the comfort ring (110), the voice assist module (112), and the caregiver alert system (114).
