Abstract: The present invention discloses a butterfly-shaped pediatric nasal hood designed for delivery of nitrous oxide-oxygen inhalation sedation during dental procedures. Conventional nasal hoods typically have standard clinical ,designs that may appear intimidating to children, contributing to anxiety and reduced cooperation. The proposed invention incorporates a butterfly-inspired external structure integrated with a functional nasal interface to create a child-friendly and visually appealing design. The butterfly shape is intended to improve psychological acceptance, reduce fear, and enhance cooperation in pediatric patients undergoing sedation. The device maintains essential functional components required for effective delivery of nitrous oxide-oxygen mixture while providing a stable and comfortable fit over the nasal region. The design can be fabricated using biocompatible materials suitable for clinical use. By combining functional efficiency with an attractive, non-threatening appearance, the invention improves the overall patient experience and facilitates smoother administration of inhalation sedation in pediatric dental practice.
