Abstract: The present invention relates to Paw-Hato, an AI-powered smart protecting and monitoring collar for livestock that prevents plastic ingestion before it occurs. The invention integrates an ESP32-CAM controller, camera module, MPU6050 motion sensor, AI-based plastic detection algorithm, vibration motor, buzzer, rechargeable Li-ion battery, wireless communication, and swarm intelligence into a compact wearable device. The camera continuously captures images of the animal's grazing environment, and the Al algorithm processes the images to identify plastic waste in real time. Upon detecting plastic, the system immediately activates a non-harmful vibration motor followed by an audio alert to divert the animal from consuming the plastic. The swarm intelligence framework enables multiple collars to exchange hazard information, thereby improving herd-level safety. The invention provides a proactive first line of protection against plast;c ingestion, enhances animal welfare, reduces veterinary treatment costs and livestock mortality, and supports sustainable and intelligent livestock.
