MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110336 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 14, 2026, for Patient-Specific Multivariate Physiological Deterioration Monitoring And Alert System.
Inventors include Priyansh Sharma; and Kamaldeep Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A patient-specific multivariate physiological deterioration monitoring and alert system processes continuously acquired heart rate, blood pressure, respiratory rate and oxygen saturation data. A vital data input interface (101) supplies the data to a pre-processing and validation module (102), a patient-specific baseline-modelling module (103), and a trend and acceleration analysis module (104). A Vital Causality Matrix computation engine (105) evaluates coupling among the physiological parameters, and a Physiological Instability Score generator (106) fuses patient-specific, temporal and multivariate information to produce a continuous instability score. A trajectory and risk evaluation module (107) evaluates score value, rate and acceleration to identify an early deterioration condition. An alert generation and enforcement module (108) requires explicit clinician acknowledgement through an interface (109) and escalates an unacknowledged alert after a predefined time interval. The system provides real-time monitoring using existing physiological measurement streams without additional sensing hardware or laboratory inputs.
