Abstract: Provided in the present disclosure are a passive Internet of Things device access method and an apparatus. The method comprises: receiving a first feedback message sent by a base station or an intermediate node, the intermediate node being a node having a capability of supporting communication forwarding between a passive Internet of Things and a base station, the first feedback message comprising first indication information or second indication information, the first indication information being used for indicating device identification information of a first passive Internet of Things device which has completed access or a response message of which has been successfully received, and the second indication information being used for indicating device identification information of a second passive Internet of Things device which needs to initiate access or needs to send a response message; and, on the basis of the first feedback message, determining whether the access is completed or the sent response message has been successfully received. The passive Internet of Things device access method and the apparatus provided by the present disclosure can conveniently and effectively determine whether access of a passive Internet of Things device is completed or a response message has been successfully received by a base station or an intermediate node.
