Abstract: ABSTRACT “PALATE” Palatal Adjustable Landmarking and Atraumatic Tissue Evaluation Template Transparent Adjustable Free Gingival Graft Harvesting Template with Detachable Handle and Atraumatic Soft Tissue Stops. The present disclosure relates to a transparent, adjustable and blade-free template for facilitating precise and reproducible delineation of a donor site outline during free gingival graft procedures. The template includes a transparent sterilizable frame having an adjustable central marking window, mesiodistal and apicocoronal adjustment assemblies, clear millimeter calibration markings, atraumatic soft tissue stops, and a detachable ergonomic handle. The adjustable central window permits the selected graft length and width to be set according to recipient site requirements, while the transparent frame allows visualization of palatal tissue and the rounded soft tissue stops stabilize the device with gentle contact on the palatal contour. The detachable handle, preferably formed from autoclavable stainless steel, improves access, visibility and operator control and may be removed for cleaning, sterilization and storage. Unlike blade-containing harvesting guides, the template functions as a measuring and marking aid only, allowing the clinician to outline the donor graft dimensions before harvesting the graft with a separate conventional surgical instrument. The disclosed device improves graft-size standardization, reduces operator variability, enhances patient safety, supports reproducible free gingival graft procedures and provides a practical adjunct for periodontal plastic surgery.
