Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure relate to a UE, a network entity, a processor for wireless communication, methods, and a computer readable medium for paging adaptation for network energy saving. The UE reports support of paging reception from a first set of paging occasions (POs) configured for a plurality of UEs and determines a PO from the first set of POs for paging reception. The network entity determines a first set of POs for the plurality of UEs, and deactivates a PO of the first set of POs based on determining that none of the plurality of UEs is to be paged for the PO. In this way, network energy saving is enabled for paging transmission.
