Abstract: A packing system includes a conveyor belt that may guide a container downstream from an initial position to a final position, an input conditioning unit located at the initial position that may perform a pre-inspection operation of the container, and a computing unit located downstream of the input conditioning unit. The computing unit includes an imaging device that may generate a point cloud representative of the container, and the computing unit may measure an angle of tilt for each flap relative to an opening into the container based on comparing the point cloud against a pre-set threshold. The system also includes an output quality assurance unit located at the final position, where the output QA unit may confirm that the angle of tilt conforms to the pre-set threshold and/or that a respective container is undamaged, effectively sealed and that an appropriate shipping label is attached.
