MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109555 A) filed by G. L. Bajaj Institute Of Technology And Management on September 12, 2026, for Otp-Authenticated Session-Controlled File Locker System.
Inventors include Sehaj Singh; Shalini Kumari; Shashank Kumar Mishra; and Md Ishfaque Ahmed.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: Disclosed is a client-server file locker system having a client terminal, a server directory inaccessible through a public addressing path, an authentication module, and a request gateway. In response to an email address, the authentication module generates and transmits a random one-time password and maintains expiration and use states for the password. Receipt of the password before expiration and while unused causes the password to be marked as used and establishes an authenticated session represented by a session token. For each requested file operation, the request gateway validates the session token before permitting access to the server directory through a server-side path. Authorized operations include upload, view, download, and deletion of digital files. A logout request invalidates the session token, causing subsequent file-operation requests carrying the invalidated token to be rejected pending re-authentication.
