Abstract: The present invention relates to a system (1000) and a method for extracting energy from airflow. The system (1000) comprises a supporting frame (100), an aerofoil wing assembly (200) configured to undergo oscillatory movement in response to aerodynamic force, a crank mechanism (300) configured to convert the oscillatory movement into rotational movement, a coupler (400), and a pitch control mechanism (500) operatively coupled to the aerofoil wing assembly (200). The pitch control mechanism (500) cooperates with the crank mechanism (300) to control displacement and pitch variation of the aerofoil wing assembly (200) during oscillatory operation. The system (1000) facilitates synchronized oscillatory movement and pitch control for extracting energy from airflow.
