MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641040655 A) filed by Alle, Uday Kumar; and Dudam, Sailaja on March 31, 2026, for Orthodontic Apparatus.

Inventors include Alle, Uday Kumar; and Dudam, Sailaja.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an orthodontic apparatus (100) including an orthodontic bracket (102) and a hybrid archwire (118). The orthodontic bracket (102) has a bonding surface (106) and a mesio-distally extending, bracket slot (108). The bracket slot (108) has opposing occlusal and gingival planar walls (156, 158) tangentially joined to an arcuate wall slot surface (116). The hybrid archwire (118) has opposing occlusal and gingival planar surfaces (160, 162) and an arcuate surface (124). When the hybrid archwire (118) is received within the bracket slot (108), a difference between the occlusal-gingival heights of the bracket slot (108) and the hybrid archwire (118) defines a planar controlled clearance gap (188) permitting angular play before torque-transmitting engagement. An arcuate controlled clearance gap (182) is maintained between the arcuate surface (124) and the arcuate wall slot surface (116) during sliding, thereby reducing frictional resistance.
