Abstract: ORTHO RECOVER Al ABSTRACT I I Post-operative shoulder rehabilitation is critical for restoring functional mobility, reducing pain, and preventing long-term complications following surgeries such as rotator cuff repair, shoulder arthroscopy, and shoulder impingement surgery. Despite its importance, continuous in-person physiotherapy is often constrained by limited accessibility, high costs, and inconsistent patient adherence. To address these challenges, this project proposes Ortho Recover Al an Android-based intelligent rehabilitation application designed to support post-surgical shoulder physiotherapy through artificial intelligence and remote clinical supervision.The application follows a dual-portal architecture, consisting of a Patient Portal and a Physiotherapist Portal. The patient portal provides surgery- specific shoulder rehabilitation exercises with real-time camera-based range of motion (ROM) tracking using pose estimation techniques. The system analyzes shoulder movements such as flexion, abduction, and rotation, offering immediate visual feedback to ensure exercises are performed within prescribed clinical limits. Patients can also log pain levels and monitor their rehabilitation progress over time.The physiotherapist portal enables clinicians to remotely review patient exercise sessions, assess ROM performance trends, adjust rehabilitation phases, and provide personalized feedback. Rehabilitation parameters such as allowed ROM limits and exercise progression are fully controlled by physiotherapists, ensuring patient safety and clinical compliance throughout the recovery process. This app provides an intelligent, clinically guided, and accessible solution for post-operative shoulder rehabilitation. By combining real-time motion analysis with remote physiotherapist supervision, the system enhances recovery outcomes, improves patient adherence, and minimizes the need for frequent in-person therapy sessions, making shoulder rehabilitation more efficient, safe, and scalable.
