Abstract: OraiQuest is a multi-suite, illustrated trading card game designed as an oral health education tool for use in dental clinics, schools, community health programmes, and home settings. The game comprises four principal card suites: (i) Disease & Condition Cards, depicting major dental pathologies; (ii) Health Adjunct Cards, representing protective oral hygiene practices and products; (iii) Habits & Environment Cards, covering dietary and behavioural risk factors; and (iv) Tooth Anatomy Cards, representing the primary and permanent dentition by group. Each card bears a custom character-style illustration inspired by competitive trading card game aesthetics - accurate yet cartoonised - and carries a validated dental health fact on the reverse face, enabling dual use as both a game component and an educational reference. Gameplay is structured such that Disease and bad Habit cards decrease the Hit Points (HP) of a player's Tooth cards, while Health Adjunct cards protect, shield, or redirect incoming damage. The objective - contrary to conventional TCG design - is for players to retain their Tooth cards rather than defeat opponents. As good oral health cards accumulate, teeth are preserved; as disease and neglect cards dominate, teeth are progressively lost and discarded. This mechanic is a deliberate pedagogical metaphor: the game teaches that consistent preventive behaviour sustains dental health, while neglect leads to irreversible tooth loss. The system is suitable for ages 6 and above and is adaptable for use in structured classroom settings, dental waiting rooms, awareness campaigns, and as a commercially distributed game.
