Abstract: Oral care compositions and, particularly, oral care compositions providing a whitening effect are disclosed herein. In accordance with some aspects, provided is an oral care composition including a whitening agent comprising a peroxymonosulfate; one or more thickening agent comprising a fatty stearate and/or acid thereof; and from about 5 to about 35 wt.% of an abrasive selected from dicalcium phosphate, calcium carbonate, calcium bicarbonate, silica abrasive, and a combination of two or more thereof, wherein all weight percentages are based on the total weight of the oral care composition.
