Abstract: The present invention relates to an advanced arc quenching system for low voltage switchgear, specifically designed to enhance performance and safety. The system comprises a housing (1), a cover (2), a rotor assembly (3) with a moving contact, and magnetic cladding with L-shaped projections. The magnetic cladding, divided into top and bottom claddings, forms a C-shaped structure around the moving contact, intensifying the magnetic field. An arc chute assembly (4) with de-ion plates is positioned adjacent to the rotor assembly (3). During contact separation, the intensified magnetic field generates a magnetic blowout force, driving the arc towards the arc chute assembly (4) for quick extinction. This design reduces contact erosion, improves breaking performance, and extends the operational life of the switchgear. The invention simplifies the design by integrating the magnetic field directly into the rotor assembly (3), offering a compact, efficient, and reliable solution.
