The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: A transparent heater assembly (106) for a liquid crystal display (LCD) (102) is disclosed. The transparent heater assembly (106) comprises a transparent flexible polymer substrate (204), a first optically coupled layer (206), a transparent thermally active coating layer (208), a second optically coupled layer (210), and a third optically coupled layer (212) arranged in a multilayer structure. The transparent thermally active coating layer (208) generates heat in response to application of electrical energy. One or more conductive busbars (302A, 302B) are electrically coupled to the transparent thermally active coating layer (208) for distributing electrical current across the transparent heater assembly (106). The transparent heater assembly (106) further comprises an optically clear pressure- sensitive adhesive layer (202) configured to laminate the transparent heater assembly (106) onto the LCD (102). The disclosed multilayer arrangement facilitates the required thermal functionality, optical transmission, and mechanical flexibility for ruggedized LCD applications.
