Abstract: A method implemented at a user equipment is provided. The method includes storing a plurality of profiles generated during at least one connection of the user equipment with a radio access network, where each profile comprises a set of parameters of at least one radio resource control configuration of the user equipment. The method includes maintaining the plurality of stored profiles in an idle state of the user equipment. And the method includes restoring a profile of the plurality of stored profiles to at least one radio resource control configuration for a current or subsequent connection of the user equipment with the radio access network. In this regard, the profile is restored based on exchanging a profile identifier of the profile with the radio access network. A method implemented at a radio access node of a radio access network is also provided.
