Abstract: Online S:F monitoring system designed for manual fuel fired boilers . Combining readings from steam flowmeter and weighing scale the system monitors the S:F ratio for the boiler on the PLC panel. It is suitable for all capacities of manual fired boilers. System calculates and displays the online S:F ratio of the day without any errors. There is no manual intervention involved in calculating the S:F ratio and hence removes the inaccuracy in recording of S:F when records are kept manually. It serves as an electronic logbook where data gets recorded and stored and hence eliminates the use of manual logbooks.
