Abstract: ABSTRACT ON-DEVICE MULTIMODAL ASSISTIVE NAVIGATION SYSTEM WITH SEMANTIC ROUTING AND CONTEXT-AWARE REASONING FOR VISUALLY IMPAIRED USERS The present invention relates to an assistive navigation system (100) for visually impaired users, comprising an image acquisition unit (102) for capturing environmental data, an audio input unit (104) for receiving voice input, and a processing unit (106) including a single-board computer and a neural processing unit for on- device inference. The system further includes a multimodal model (108) for processing visual and audio inputs, a semantic routing module (110) for determining user intent and selecting processing functions including navigation, text extraction, and scene description, a reasoning module (112) for generating context-aware guidance, and an audio output unit (114) for delivering real-time feedback. The invention further provides a method (200) comprising capturing (202) environmental data, receiving (204) voice input, processing (206) the inputs, determining (208) user intent, selecting (210) a processing function, generating (212) context-aware guidance, and outputting (214) real-time audio feedback.
