Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and systems are provided for a user equipment in radio resource control, RRC, idle or inactive mode for acquiring system information block 1, SIB1, information of a first cell operating in an on-demand SIB1 mode. The user equipment receives configuration information related to acquisition of SIB1 information of the first cell via a second cell, wherein the configuration information comprises information for receiving an on-demand SIB1 response, and, in response to transmitting an on-demand SIB1 request for acquiring SIB1 information of the first cell, receives the on-demand SIB1 response based on the configuration information. Corresponding methods, apparatuses, and systems are also provided for the network side supporting the user equipment in acquiring a system information block 1, SIB1, of a first cell operating in an on-demand SIB1 mode.
