MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641126809 A) filed by Vellore Institute Of Technology on October 24, 2026, for Offline Regional-Language Voice-Controlled Irrigation System With Field-State Consistency Authorization.

Inventors include Sivaranjini N; Jeevitha V; and P Likitha.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT OFFLINE REGIONAL-LANGUAGE VOICE-CONTROLLED IRRIGATION SYSTEM WITH FIELD-STATE CONSISTENCY AUTHORIZATION An edge controller unit (100) includes a microphone module (102) receiving a spoken irrigation request, a field-condition sensor (126) measuring a field state of a selected field or zone, an actuator interface (136) operating an irrigation valve (116), and a controller board (112). The controller board (112) converts the spoken request into a structured request identifying the selected field or zone and a requested operation, and evaluates the structured request against a field-state measurement. When the evaluation is satisfied, a field-state consistency authorization module (110) creates a temporary control-permission record storing the measurement as a reference field-state condition and storing a permitted variation condition. Before valve activation, a new measurement is obtained as an execution-time field-state condition and compared with the reference condition. An actuator-control signal is generated when the execution-time condition is within the permitted variation condition; otherwise, the record is invalidated and the signal is suppressed. (Fig. 2)
