Abstract: ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION The current invention is directed to an offline multilingual translation system, which can provide smooth communication among people using various Indian languages without any connection to the internet. It involves the use of an artificial intelligence module that will convert speech to text, detect the language automatically, translate the text into another language, and synthesize .text to speech. The user of the system can provide instructions in either text or voice form, which will then be processed and represented in text format. The system then detects the language used and translates the text into another desired language using a trained multilingual translation model. This output will be further manipulated in order to produce visual text or speech synthesis, allowing both reading and listening. As no process will take place using cloud services but rather locally, this invention guarantees total offline operation and less time delay while also providing maximum privacy since no data will ever leave the device itself. This invention is intended to work for multiple Indian languages, thus being applicable in a wide variety of communication contexts, including education, healthcare, tourism, and government services. Moreover, the system is designed in such a way that it can work effectively on low-power devices through the use of light-weighted Al models and pre-processing techniques. Additionally, the system helps to improve access for people who may have problems with language by offering speech translation. The objective of this invention is to overcome the barrier of language among different linguistic groups.2
