Abstract: ABSTRACT OFFLINE EDGE-BASED VACCINE COLD CHAIN COMPLIANCE ASSESSMENT SYSTEM A method for offline edge-based vaccine cold chain compliance assessment comprises acquiring, by a temperature sensor (53), temperature data from a vaccine storage environment, and time-stamping, by an edge analytics processing module (55), the temperature data using a time-stamping module (55a). The method comprises comparing the time-stamped temperature data against predefined temperature limits and initiating an excursion tracking procedure when the temperature data deviates, wherein the excursion tracking procedure comprises recording an excursion start time, monitoring an excursion duration, and recording an excursion end time when the temperature data returns within the limits. The method comprises computing a cumulative thermal exposure index based on deviation magnitude and exposure time, classifying a compliance status based on excursion duration and cumulative thermal exposure index, and storing, by a data logging module (56), the time-stamped temperature data and compliance status. All operations are performed locally without internet connectivity.
