Abstract: ABSTRACT OBJECT DETECTION AND RECOGNITION USING VISUAL, TEXTUAL, AND SEMANTIC FEATURES Object detection and recognition using visual, textual, and semantic features is provided in the present disclosure. In an image, a bounding box representing an 5 object is detected using a prompt-based object detection model (214). Further, an object description indicative of an appearance of the object is generated using an image-to-text model (216). Based on the bounding box and the object description, a current feature profile is generated for the object. The current feature profile indicates appearance characteristics of the object. The current feature profile is 10 compared with reference feature profiles stored in a database, and a profile similarity score is assigned to each reference feature profile. The profile similarity score indicates a similarity between the current feature profile and the corresponding reference feature profile. One reference object is then selected, the selected reference object being associated with the reference feature profile having 15 the highest profile similarity score. [FIG. 1]
