MUMBAI, India, June 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514102008 A) filed by Nokia Technologies Oy on October 23, 2025, for Obfuscating Input Data For Third Party Machine Learning Systems.

Inventor includes Jafar Mohammadi.

The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: A method includes: accessing training data and training labels corresponding to the training data; training a machine learning model configured to generate additional data, where the training includes: generating additional data by the machine learning model, combining the training data and the additional data to provide obfuscated data, transmitting the obfuscated data and the training labels to a trained machine learning system, receiving, from the trained machine learning system, gradients with respect to a loss function and the training labels, the gradients resulting from inputting the obfuscated data to the trained machine learning system, and adjusting the machine learning model based on the gradients. The training the machine learning model is repeated until a training condition is satisfied.
